IS there a way to modify the document type

In NAV  available document type are

Payment,  Invoice,  Credit Memo, finance charges Memo , reminder , Refund

Is there a way i can modify the name  or create new one, please advice.

    What are you trying to add?

    Note there is a lot of code in the system on the tables & forms & codeunits regarding "document types".

    if anything adding to the end, i wouldn't mess with modifying or renaming what's already there.

    if you really want to do this - you are going to have to test test & more test to make sure all instances where doc types are used can handle your change.

    this can open a can of worms.

    what exact type doesn't exist for you?

    To modify the name, just change the Caption property.

    If you need to add to the options, make sure to add the new options to the end. As Harry stated above, you will encounter some code problems for these new options.
