Control sales order quantity using a demand forecast

Hi All

We are using Dynamics AX 2012 R2

I thought to ask the community whether it is possible to manage / control the creations of sales order lines using a demand forecast?

For example: I have a demand forecast that states that I am going to sell 100 pieces of item X in the month of December.  How can I block a user from creating a sales order that has a quantity greater than the 100 pieces defined in the demand forecast for this item in the same month of the delivery date?

I understand that the more we sell the better, but we would like to block sales teams from creating additional demands when capacity is restricting us.

Thanks

Omar

No there is nothing as standard to achieve this (unless retail has this but I doubt it). It would be a customization referencing the forecasting split and tracking remainder etc.
