Hello,
Does anyone know where we can download a sample data or demo data set for the RTM of AX 2012? We had some problems trying to import the sample data from the beta pre-release into the RTM version of 2012. Is there a similar sample data set that we can import into the RTM release?

Does anybody now how to download or import that sample data ? I have just installed ax 2012 and I would like to test it. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the suggestions, Bill!
Hello,
The update scripts don't do the pre-RTM to RTM version, so you would have to try to do them manually (module by module). That MIGHT work, but I have not tried it yet. Otherwise, it will have to be a manual process to get something in the system. DON'T try doing a database restore, as that will fail as the AOT data is now stored in SQL. You would have to create a DAT and DEF file combination to export out data from the pre-RTM system to try to get something into it via an import. Just please take note that this is not supported due to this being pre-RTM data into the RTM environment.
I don't have any more information that I can provide (I simply don't know any more on this issue) at this time.
I hope this helps,

Thanks for the update Bill! Do you have any suggestion on how we should develop and QA our solutions in the meantime? Is there any option other than entering all of the data manually? Is there any method of upgrading the data set that was issued with the pre-release to the AX 2012 RTM?
Hi all,
The last I heard, the Demo data is supposed to be available for download around the middle of September. Please note that this is a tentative estimate.
The download will be on the same page as the installation image, cumulative update, etc.
I hope this helps,

Hi !
I have the same problem here. If someone have a solution, or a process to reload simple data in RTM (like contoso for AX2009), il will be useful.
Thanks.
