"Unhandled Exception error" on Accounting Distribution EP form

Hello Everyone,

In "distribute Amount" form on EP (TrvExpenseReport) I got this Unhandled Exception Error when I tried to create new line

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Now I can't access Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Portal.CommonControls.AxDistribution.OnPreRender method as it is inside default dll.

How to find debug this issue?

    If you have consistent repro and you face it for all users, I would log it to Microsoft Support for investigation. This might require a new hotfix.

    thank you everyone for suggestions,

    My infra team said that system is already updated to CU13 so this hot fix will not be helpfull.

    During my testing I came to know that it is working fine for normal financial dimension (less then 10). It throw an error when i select "advanced rule structure " financial Dimensions.

    Anyone got any idea about this issue now?

    Hi,

    The link seems indeed broken.

    Yet, I can see KB 3132818 on LCS.

    Can you try the following:

    Logon to LCS

    Search for the issues / hotfixes via the issue button/icon and enter the number 3132818.

    This will lead you to a hotfix that is applicable for AX2012 R3 systems older than CU12.

    AxDistribution control is a part of the framework code so they will be not able to debug it.
    Could you check if you have following hotfix installed
    https://fix.lcs.dynamics.com/Issue/Details?kb=3132818&bugId=370742
    Maybe that will help.

    I am using ax 2012 R3 and it is only appearing on ammount distribution page for expense Report.

    Hello Khurshid,

    What is your AX 2012 version ? Do you face the error message on every expense report, or is it specific to some expense reports ?
