Suburub and post code filtering in CRM portal

Posted on by 105

Hi,

I have 2 fields namely suburb and postcode on a webform step. There is a city field and based on the selection in city field, the suburb field has to be filtered and display only those suburbs in the city and on selecting a suburb, the post code relating the suburb has to be displayed. Both the suburb and postcode fields are lookup but exposed as a dropdown in portal. Can someone please help me out how to achieve this.

    Hi,

I have tried fetching the values of a different entity. I don't know if there is easy way. Though I tried the lookup filtering just now and it worked as expected.

    Hi Ravi,

I tried to enable full permission on both suburb and postcode entity, but still it is showing the same error. Is it possible to pass the state value to the suburb lookup. If so can you please share the code for the same?

Are you saying as soon as you enable Related Lookup filtering, you are getting the error message? Check for the permissions on the 2 entities. If possible give full permissions read, create, append etc

    Hope this helps.

Hi Ravi, Thanks for the reply the related lookup filtering is working fine in CRM but when I tried to do the same in portal it is throwing an error saying "We're sorry, but something went wrong. Error ID # [f445be46-ebfc-4332-8b64-6517e4fc27a1]". I am not sure what is wrong since the same is working in CRM.

    Hi,

You can use out of box related lookup filtering on suburb field. This works on portals as well.
