Location auto filled during Purchase Order line or Sales Order line Creation

Dear All,

i'm planning to have field location filled automatic during purchase order lines creation or sales order lines creation, the value not hard-code, the default value should came from each item, since each item has different location so its should setted for each item.

I had check default order setting and warehouse item, but I cant find setting that I want,

anyone know if ax 2012 has setting for this feature, if yes, where is the setting for my needed.

please advice and help.

any idea will be appreciated.

    Hello, I've just tested in 365 and it works with default order setting + Warehouse items.

    In Ax 2012 there is default order setting + site specific menu items -> have you tried to setup those 2 ?

    Hi,

    I've tried on AX 2012 and it works well.

    1/ setup a new item

    2/ setup default order setting and site specific

    3/ setup Warehouse item -> I put the default location on the 3 location areas.

    4/ create a SO on the site / Warehouse, add the item -> check the location.

    Try it on a Contoso environnement if you are not achieving this. Maybe you have a bug/customization on your Customer environnement.

    Hey for D365 does this still work? I have followed your steps but I cannot achieve the same result.

    Hi,

    I have a similar question: I would like to have field location filled automatic during SO created, but the item is located in few separate warehouses and warehouses  locations.

    Is there a  way the application suggested the location - according to the warehouse I did choose in the SO process?
