Hi experts,

Is there any security privilege to access some particular data entities? Or it is related to the underlying tables. One of the user, he could not find the data entity in the drop down list when he tried to create an import project.

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

Security for data entities is managed via security privileges.

When you develop new entities, the entity wizard will automatically create two privileges for you: one for viewing the data, one for maintaining the data.

For existing entities you can right click -> Find references in Visual Studio.

    Hi Yuji,

Yes, each data entity is meant to have a related security privilege, which, in turn, must be added either via a duty or role to a particular user; so that he/she can see it and use.

    Hi Yuji,

Does just one user have this issue? or users that have a special security role?

Can the affected user find the entity on Workspaces > Data management > Data entities?

    Hi,

The standard entity will have two security privileges with View and edit permission, it's a best practice. you can find by Find references as Nikolaos suggested. At the time of creating data entity system will add two security privileges with names View and Maintain(at the end).

    Thanks,

    Hi,

When you create data entities, automatically two Security Privileges will be created (One for Full Access and second for View access).

Otherwise, you can create the Security Privilege by adding tables & Staging tables under permissions node and also add the Data entities under Data entities permissions node.

Add then, add that privilege to the security role which is assigned for that user. Hope it helps.

    For eg.
