Hello all,
I have a list of pending workflow instances for a specific journal type, around 300+. They are stuck to a step that is supposed to be processed by an approver that was assigned a role. Now to help fasten the approval process, I added new approvers to that role; and want to add work items to these new approvers for the existing instances. I don't want to use the delegate/reassign function, as I want to add new approvers.
Could anyone here point me to the right direction on how to do this? Preferably by X++ code.
Hi,
Why not recalling the workflow and submit once again?
Also, for future instances, cant you change the approach for creating an user group and keeping modifying the same group? you dont need to any coding or opening the WF instance to change
Thanks Ramit for the reply. Regarding your questions,
We have sent e-mails that contain the link to the workflow instance. Recalling the instance will break the e-mail link to the 300+ pending instances (and more are coming).
Isn't it the same situation as using roles, as the newly-added users to a group aren't added to the approvers in the instance? Or adding new users to the groups automatically adds the user as an approver to the instance?
