Fixed Assets / Capitalization Threshold

Dear DAXperts,

Are there any known issues with the Capitalization threshold functionality in fixed assets for D365?

I checkedthe FA parameters below:

1.Consider Capitalization threshold

2.Capitalization threshold amount is given

In te Fixed asset group, I have also mentioned some capitalization threshold (which is equal to that in FA parameters). When I posted acquisition below the threshold, my expecttaion is that Depreciation check box will be removed and full amount will be expensed off rather based on my Dep profile period definition.

Anyone face this issue? If so, what is the solution.

Regards,

Sree

    Hi Sree,

The capitalization threshold will only be taken into consideration for fixed asset acquisitions that are posted through purchase orders.

If you post a fixed asset acquisition through a fixed asset journal, this threshold has no effect and won't be taken into consideration.

    Best regards,

    Hi Ludwig,

Unfortunately, still AX is not considering it. I mean, procured FA via Purchase order. Created a dummy category, but selected the FA code while purchase packing slip and posted purchase invoice. The results are not as desired :( .

    Hi Sree,

The process you describe should actually work.

Can you check that the FA parameter 'allow acquisition from purchasing' is active?

If this is active and things still don't work, check LCS to ensure that this is not related to a bug.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
