When we are creating WBS manually for a project the Unit cost price and Unit sales price are populating from OOB configuration.
However, when we are trying to achieve it by using data upload through the OOB data entity “Project work breakdown structure - Draft estimates” this is not working in the same manner. So the expectation is to auto populate unit cost price and unit sales price from configuration while uploading the WBS through data management framework.
are the cost and sales price in the import of some default value?
if default then could use the options of default value in the staging to target mapping in the data import project - entity line map
Hi Anil,
I'm not sure if you need to populate the values manually using the import or that you probably have the execute business logic disabled. Can you verify if the execution of business logic is enabled on the entity and on the field level, e.g. on the modified of the category?
The cost and sales prices are not mandatory in this entity.
Have you tried leaving them blank?
Best regards,
Ludwig
OOB data entity expects Unit cost price and unit sales price from the user. The entity calculates the total cost price and total sales price automatically in code.
You will need to get the customization done to set these values set from default configurations.
Did you get the answer to your question, if yes please review and mark the answers as verified
We are not going to use default value, but we want populate the sales/cost prices which are defined on project level while importing data through data entity.
Configured values are populated if we create WBS manually.
Yes I tried to set values blank and expecting values should populated similar to manual process.
In this case I would suggest you to talk to a developer who can have a deeper look into this and possibly tweak your system a little bit to the get values populating the way you want.
Yes, I think we need to do some extension on WBS data entity similar to modifiedField() method of PSAAcitivtyEstimates table which populate sales and cost price on category selection.
Thanks,
Anil
Thanks Andre...
