Tax localization via Labels file

Hello all, and best wishes for the New Year to come!

I have received a Tax.XXX.label.txt labels file to use for Tax package/model localization to some XXX language, at a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Version: 10.0.8 system.

The file contains the XXX language labels for Tax.

XXX language is already used for some other parts localized extensions.

Any help on how to efficiently use the Tax.XXX.label.txt labels file for the above Tax localization?

I have the same question (0)

I used the Label extensions method described here, and works fine.

However, I still wonder if there is any simpler method, i.e. without requiring a Visual Studio project at all. Is that possible?

    Hi Yiannis Manatos,

You're on the right way, thank you for your sharing.

Label Extension is not available in D365FO with the same way we use to create form, Table and class Extension... As far as I know, there is no another way to achieve your requirement.

    Hi Yiannis,

The label files and also extensions for it are development objects which needs to be part of a build before you can deploy it to a test or production environment. There is no other option.

PS1: The blog you found has been moved to my new blog space: How to create a new language or country to Dynamics 365 for Operations (dynamicspedia.com). There are some more language related blogs on my Dynamicspedia.com site.

PS2: End of this month, I will give a presentation about multi language development: How to build multi lingual applications for Microsoft Dynamics 365 FinOps – Power Community

    Hi André,

I noticed you maintain the overlayering method in your new post, but I was told overlayering is not available in newest versions. Could you please confirm?

And btw, I already voted for your presentation session but how can I attent it?

    Hi Yiannis,

You are correct. I wrote the blog in the time that overlayering was still possible. Today, you can only use extensions.

Here is the link to the event where you can register for free. The agenda is not updated yet, but my session will be on the Saturday.
