Hi

We have purchased navision 2013R2 for 2 countries. We found that the licenses for each countries cover are not the same and different modules. How can I retrieve the modules in each server and comnpare?

Thank you.

    Hell Hery Halim,

When you want to create a specific-range add-on field on a standard table what you have to do is backup the destination table, import the table with the specific field using the option merge existing<-new and at that point you will have the field properly imported but without the right code.

When you have the situation like that you can modify the code without problems and leave it the way it was before using your favourite method (comparing being one of them). When you import the merged txt file you won't have a problem when NAV finds the field 16000200 because it is already there from the previous step.

    Know what I mean? :)

    hi friends,

I got similar problems. I am aware that as a Nav partner,we get a specific range of permission to develop solutions.

Recently when we are on implementation, we do what we usually do :

    1. Install the NAV (NAV 2013 R2)

    2. Install the latest Update Rollup (Update Rollup 10)

    3. Develop some customizations on it.

The problem come when the client buy another specific vertical solution from another country and ask us to merge this with our development. To make things complicated, the solution was built on Navision 2013 R2 (without Rollup).

The problem i encountered when i tried to merge it, for example :

The solution create field 16000200 on Table 18 Customer. We don't have permission on that range. Therefore, we cannot copy or create the field or use araxis merge to merge it.

The only thing we can do is import the fob. But when we do that, the update rollup and our customization on that table will be replaced.

Any idea how we can do this?

    Thanks

    Hi Navea!

Ask your partner por the permissions summary report. You can also download it from CustomerSource. If you don't have access to CustomerSource, request it to your partner as well.

    Good luck!

You can see it as Jose said, but if you use NAV2013R2, you have not a lot of modules. You can buy only Starter Pack or/and Extended Pack. OK, you can buy additional objects (tables, pages, reports,...)

If you use NAV in two different countries, it is possible that you have different localization modules or some other specific vertical solution.

    Hello Navea,

When you download the license, you can usually get a "Detailed report permission" file that tells you exactly what your license is good for, including country specifications and such. If you haven't downloaded the license, you can ask your partner for that info.

Also, if you have access to the development environment you can see the license info by going to Tools>License information or by creating a list page with the source table set to "License Information".

If you are focusing on knowing if you have the permissions for a group of specific objects, you can create a list page with the source table set to "License permission".
