    Hi Vanessa,

Please specify which inventory model you are using? What is the costing method (e.g. Fifo, Average, Standard, Moving average)? Did you enable the option 'Include physical value' on the Item model or not?

Are these purchase orders fully invoiced?

    Hi André,

The costing method is average, the option include physical value is not enable and the purchase order are fully invoiced.

    Hi Vanessa,

Are you sure it is 'Average' and not 'Moving average'?

If it is average, I would like to know which type transactions were used to have the inventory on stock. Can you look at the transactions fro one item which has a problem?

Did you use purchase orders, inventory journals, etc?

Please have a look at the orders and see whether there was a purchase price or on the journals if there was a cost price specified.

Hi Andre , i found the issue. The problem was in the product creation process, some items don't have active the check for purchase price update and cost price update .

My question is: these checks must be activated manually or the system should do it automatically?, as not being active, the fields where prices are defined have zero value which prevented financial costs from being loaded when creating the journals or purchase orders

I have another question,  the item prices have to fill manually ?, what happen if prices vary? I have to make the change manually? The ideal would be that the system does it automatically

    Hi Vanessa,

As you are using an Average cost price, the purchase price is used as base for the cost when you purchase the goods. For inventory journals AX picks the price from the Released product. So for the purchasing side price fluctuations are covered.

The Purchase price update and Cost price update are not automatically enabled, but you can achieve it using an Item template where the fields are enabled.

Now my question is with that item template i could cover the  price fluctuations for the cost side?

    Hi Vanessa,

No. The template can be used at item creation to enable the Purchase price update and Cost price update field.

Price fluctuations are covered by the purchase price per Purchase order. During posting of the Vendor invoice the purchase and cost price will be updated on the item.

When you use an inventory journal where the inventory will be increased, you have to check the cost price field. It is taking the cost from the Item, but when needed you can change it.

Please , do you know any tutorial for items creation using a template?
