Hi all,

If have two users. One is System administrator and the other is System user with a cutom Role called AKS_ProdCalcTrans; this last role has read persmission to two reports includind the tables that are related to them and to the ProdTableListPage (sice the output buttons to those reports are here)

So this second user is able to display one of the reports with full information and the other report is only displaying the header but no data. Here I snip of how this is set up for you guys to undestand

All entry points has AccesLevel:Read and all the tables in the privileges has EffectiveAccessL Read ( of curse the System administrator can see all report as it should be, even if I assign it the second user.)

the Design i correct. it was another thing.

I managed to fix it, somehow when the table dirPartyTable is selected from the query of the report's Dataset all related tables that are linked to this are automatically added by default into the report ( I did not select them)

these are all the tables that was missing to add to the role's privileges

Nestor,

I got confused with the report names. I apologize for that.

Could you please share the following screenshots by editing the report in VS -

1. Go to the dataset and check the datasource type.

2. Go to the report design and check the tablix datasource property (for details) -

Please verify that you are using the design "ByWorker_ColorDetails" to print the report. Please share a screenshot of the menu item properties as well, where you can specify the Report design.

Hi Gunjan,

The report AKS_ProdCalcTrans is workin properly with the Persmission, I can see everything from the custom Role.

The AKS_WIP_ByCostCategory is the one that is only showing the Header. But this Report does not query upon the sales tables. They have nothing to do with this report, the same as the ProdCalcTrans table.

The AKS_ProdCalcTrans does not have the all the tables from the AKS_WIP_byCostCategory in the desing but still is working properly.

looks tike the fault lies somewhere else.

Hi Nestor,

As per your screenshot, you are missing SalesTable and SalesLine in these permissions, which are set on the report query. Please try adding them as well.

Hi Gunjan,

Yes they all have Read access as well, I also added the ProdCalcTrans (with read access), still no success

No. Not in VS. I assumed you are using this in your report .

All the tables you have added to the security privilege, could you please add under the Permissions\Tables node in the SSRS report? All of them should have "Read" access property.

This I have to do it in visual Studio?

I need to link that table in the Query I guess. because I dont think this table is needed

Hi Nestor,

Could you try adding ProdCalcTrans with Read property under the Report design parameters and set the access to read?
