    Hi Dushan,

I've never seen a technical document describing such details.  By the way what is the requirement  ?

The closest thing you can do from NAV is export all table objects to a .TXT file from both versions,  and compare them using a text comparison tool like Araxis Merge.

From SQL side you can always try script table schemas, views and SPs to a text file and then do a text comparison.

    Hope this helps.

    Chaminda.

    Hi Dushan,

First of all there is no Schema for NAV 4.0... But you can create schema type diagram on paper with the help of table relations.

The older NAV version(4.1) had its own DB and NAV 2016 uses MS SQL Server DB.

If you want to know the differences between  NAV 4.0 and NAV 2016 then probably you can find lots of papers and blogs on the topic and that is how you can compare the Database level difference as well...

As Rabindra said there is no Schema diagrams available for Dynamics NAV. What you can do is export all the objects to text format and then compare it with a tool. However I really doubt about outcome of it since it will be a very tiring work. 4.0 --> 2016 is lot of versions and you might found completely different tables in NAV 2016.

If you can let us know the requirement behind this then we might be able to propose you a workaround.

I do not think there would exist such direct comparison. It is possible to figure that out, but it depends on your final need. why do you need this?

You can refer more to the main table descriptions: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh893827(v=nav.90).aspx
