Depreciation Posting Error

Was trying to post the monthly depreciation journal via "calculate depreciation"/Fixed Asset G/L Journal. I am getting this error "you cannot post depreciation, because the calculation is across different fiscal periods, which is not supported"

This is the first month of the new Financial Year. Never had an issue before. been using for past 5 years!

I checked JV dates -all July, checked accounting year (it is started from July), have checked GL Posting dates permissions and user permissions.

Any idea what is causing this?

    I figured out what the issue was . I had all dates setup correctly .General ledger posting dates , FA posting dates, opening new Accounting year  etc.

    I had posted the depreciation journal on 29th June when year end was 30th June.

    so i posted depreciation entries for 30th june (1 day), then tried to post the July entries (new accounting year). that is when i had the issue. 

    The issue was calculating depreciation for 1 day (30th June)-it  did not calculate depreciation on small written Down value amounts -eg -1 day depreciation on a WDV of 0 .04. even though it calculated  1 days depreciation but unable to post

    Solution:

    I reversed all June entries (up to 29th and 30th June entries) and re-posted for the whole 30 days in june again and then posted the July entry in full.

    What localization are you using? Do you have any specifics Fixed Assets accounting periods to be opened?
