Data import export framework validation error - installation

Hi All,

We have installed AX in one server and SQL 2016 in another server, now we are trying to install Data import export framework services in AX machine, while validating getting the below errors :

We already have SQL server installed in another machine , does it requires to install again in AX machine to fulfill the validations?

Errors:

Install Microsoft Integration Services for the version of SQL Server that you are using.

Install Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio for the version of SQL Server that you are using.

We have installed SSDT tools Visual studio - 2017 in AX server , still the validation throwing the same error,

Kindly advise us how to proceed.

    Hi Akbar,

    Components of the Data Import/Export Framework must be installed as follows:

    The Data Import/Export Framework service must be installed on a computer that is running SQL Server Integration Services.

    The Data Import/Export Framework server must be installed on a computer that is running an instance of Microsoft Dynamics AX Application Object Server (AOS).

    The Data Import/Export Framework client must be installed on a computer that is running the Microsoft Dynamics AX client.

    Thanks Ada,

    We have some points in installing Data Import/Export Framework service, do we need to install SQL in AX server(AOS running machine) as we have installed the SSDT tools - Visual studio 2017 (as we have SQL server 2016 in others machine), while validating for Data Import/Export Framework services again getting the error like "SQL server integration services  needs to be installed as the version of SQL server" and "Install Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio for the version of SQL Server that you are using.". Please advise us.

    Hi Arbar,
    You can install DIXF service in the machine with SQL Server 2016.
