Cases - Activities Complete column auto update

I noticed there is a Managed Column in the Case Table called activitiescomplete (Yes/No Data type).  Description:  This attribute is used for Sample Service Business Processes.

Does anyone know if this is provided purely for users to manually update, or is there something that should happen behind the scenes that automatically updates this from No to Yes when ALL associated activities have been marked as completed?

We were hoping to use this value as a conditional check before automatic closure of a case via a Business Process Flow workflow (rather than users clicking on "Resolve Case").

In effect, I was hoping that when the final associated activity (of many) was marked as complete, this column would automatically update to Yes!  It does not seem to be doing so OOTB.

Thanks in advance.

Mark

    Hi Mark.Fletcher,

Yes, this column wouldn't automatically update to Yes when associated activity (of many) was marked as complete. You need to manually set it's value.

You could create a rollup field to count uncompleted activity and set a business rule to set Activity Complete's value. Something like this:

    Snipaste_5F00_2022_2D00_01_2D00_28_5F00_11_2D00_19_2D00_06.png Snipaste_5F00_2022_2D00_01_2D00_28_5F00_11_2D00_19_2D00_19.png

However, rollup field could have a delay. if you want to set it in real time, you could write JS code to do this.

    Hi,

Please see simmilar post below -

Unfortunately you will have to write JS code to mark flag on Case when All activities is completed.

Rollup field will take some time to perform the calculation because of it's background in nature.

Please mark my answer verified if this is helpful!
