Hello Experts,

In one of our environments, we are unable to export Trial Balance and its defaulting the always save the Trial Balance to Share Point. This is the error we see

Modules > Organization administration > Document Management > Document Management parameters > this is what we see

Do you know what could cause this issue?

Thank you

    Hi there 👋

    Thanks for your question!

The error you're encountering—“@ApplicationPlatform:SPServerUserNotAuthorized”—suggests that Dynamics 365 Finance is attempting to export the Trial Balance to SharePoint, but your user account lacks the necessary permissions.

Here’s what you can do to resolve this:

    1. Check SharePoint permissions

      • Ensure your user account has access to the SharePoint site configured for document storage.
      • You may need to be added as a member or granted specific permissions by your SharePoint administrator.
    2. Review document management parameters

      • Go to Document Management > Document Types and check the setup for Excel exports.
      • If SharePoint is set as the default storage location, consider switching to File or Azure Blob Storage if available.
    3. Use alternative export methods

      • If SharePoint integration is not required, try exporting the Trial Balance using the “Export to Excel” button directly from the report viewer or list page.
    4. Check menu item access

      • The error mentioning docuparameters suggests a missing or restricted menu item. Verify that your role has access to this menu item in the security configuration.

💡 If SharePoint integration is not needed, disabling it temporarily may allow you to export without errors.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

I would recommend ensuring the user has the necessary roles and privileges by:

Navigating to System administration > Security > Assign roles

Verify that they are assigned a role such as Accountant, Finance Manager, or System Administrator.

If you find this suggestion helpful, please consider verifying the answer. 👍

    Regards,
    Syed Haris Shah
