The website cannot display the page

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am getting below message when trying to hit http://localhost:7047/DynamicsNAV70 from IIS instance of client.

"Metadata publishing for this service is currently disabled" and the steps to make metadata enable.

But when I tried to hit http://localhost:7047/DynamicsNAV70/WebClient I am getting below message :

"The website cannot display the page"

This error (HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but the site has a programming error.

Can anyone help me out with this.

Thanks in advance!!

if this handler entry is not twice in the web.config, then there is a duplicate entry in the server configuration at least one step higher in the inheritance hierarchy. check the basic config files and the web.config of iis.

you could simple remove that entry physically or add following entry:

    <remove name="ScriptHandlerFactory">

Yes saurabh, both are running and no application are using same port.

After installing server on an IIS running machine a website called Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Web Client is added on the IIS.

The physical path of the web application is C:\inetpub\wwwroot\DynamicsNav70\WebClient.

But I am not getting webclient folder in above location.

    Any idea what is wrong?

RE: The website cannot display the page

if you do not find a solution, the best way is, you uninstall the webclient component and then re-install the webclient.

    and check your firewall settings.

Please check your NAV services and IIS service for NAV webclient is running.

Please also make sure that the port which you used for NAV web client is not used by any other IIS application.
