Work creation process question and changes to work.

Posted on by 90

Hi,

Is it possible to make a work without the use of mobile devices and then also manipulate it like You would in mobile device menu(basically just change location).

For example: A guy receives/registers (possibly from the PO form when he posts Product Receipt) and then the work is created like if he used a mobile device to register an item. Now in the Warehouse management -> Common -> Work -> all work, You can see that there is pick and put work created, the location can be changed with override location or suggest location, again using mobile device, Is it possible to make the Put location editable for the guy from the "all work" form like you have an option to override location in mobile devices?

    Hello EmilP,

    • I don't understand that point regarding creating work without the mobile app, You can use a desktop mobile app but if you don't like to use the mobile experience at all so I don't believe that this is a WMS process and you can use the legacy item arrival or purchase order registration process.
    • Regarding the point of changing the location from the D365 SCM client, please enable a flight Work line details in the feature management workspace.
    • Then navigate to Warehouse management > Work > Work line details > select work and then click change location.

I hope this would help you.
