Update Inventory Posting Group , Gen Posting Group, Dimension for Item

Hi

We want to audit and change Inventory Posting Group , Gen Posting Group, Dimension for our items. At the time of change item may have some open PO , Production Order, SO and also shipped SO. I want to make sure if we update Inventory Posting Group , Gen Posting Group, Dimension for Item  it will not cause any issue. 

My guess is for those open documents we will have wrong Inventory Posting Group , Gen Posting Group, Dimension until they clear out (in 2 weeks). But beside that any other issue? Mainly for finance.
