AX 4 client cannot connect to AOS on Windows Server 2012

I have a customer with an AOS server installed on a Windows Server 2012. When I start up the client on the same machine as the AOS it opens up fine.

When starting up the client from the old TS (older OS) it won't connect to the new AOS.

On the new AOS-server there is a message in the eventlog stating that the OS is unsupported and I do realize that AX 4 is off the support list.

Anyone having experience with AX 4 on a Windows Server 2012 and connecting clients to it?

    I have always thought AX 4.0 has never been supported in a 64bit environment.

    I was a bit sceptic too when I got the job of moving it. And it worked as it should with client and AOS on the same machine.

    It could indicate that the network handling has incompatibilities ...

    Did you check the firewall settings on the server ? AX4 does not automatically add rules to the firewall like AX2009 (with small bug) and AX2012
