Table / Form as Dropdown field in another Form

Hello Team,

We have created a New Form and Table for Country Of Origin having two fields (Country Code and Country Name). We want to have a Dropdown of this Table / Form in Inventable Form. We have created a New Field (type as String but Extended datatype similarly to Country code in CountryOrigin TAble) for Country Code in Invent Table but this field is displayed as a Textbox and not Dropdown. Kindly let us know what are we missing.

Didn't you forget to add a table reference to the EDT?

By the way, doesn't AX 2009 already contain a table with countries?

Hello Martin,

Thanks for your Prompt reply, can you please let me know where can i add table reference in EDT. AX 2009 has a Table with Countries but this is specific requirement for Customer.

It's not in properties; it's a node in AOT.

Hello Martin,

Thanks a lot it worked. But when i am selecting a record from the Dropdown it is not shown on the field and it is not saved inventtable. Please guide. Thank You.

It difficult to identify a problem without more details from you.

Is the form control actually bound to a table field in InventTable?

Don't you have any conflicting logic in modified(), for example?
