Would like to check if the standard NAV 2013 has a function to print cheques from the sales invoice? Or is this another customization?

No there is no such function available in sale invoice to print the check or not in my knowledge but for knowledge, can you please explain you case where you need to print check from the sales invoice?
do you mean bank cheques?
Not possible as far as I know.
