"Transferring" Personalization

Hi:

An end user has conducted changes to several pages through Personalization.

Is there a way of transferring this work to the other users?

Or, is the only method to use Design Mode in a Sandbox, make the changes, and deploy the design afterward to production?

Speaking of, how do you deploy to production?  Do you create an extension at the Sandbox and, then, load it into production?

Can you make a backup of production prior to uploading the extension?

Thanks!

John

    Hi

There is no Real System For Transferring Personalization , but still

If you want to Transfer a Personalization ,   You can assign the same Personalized Profile(Roles) to all Other Users who you wish to have the Personalization.

If you want to Migrate a Design From Sand Box To Production , then you can download the App Source on the Extension Management Page.

then you can Install the Downloaded Extension on Production on the same page.

    Hi,

For this download the Extensions that made by user via Personalization. Then open in VS editor and do the changes as per VS requirement and then publish. In this way you will achieve the requirement.

Refer below link for more info.

If it’s personalisation for more than one user configuration mode via the profile page makes more sense. If it’s design then that is a modification and you get to export the source code and not the .app. So there is a need to handle code to eventually deploy to production
