Hi ,

I had created one windows service which is trying to communicate with GP 10. The scenario is like i had created one msi and installed that msi on GP machine. I am trying to access that url through ip from my machine.Basically i am trying to give a call to that service through my machine which in turn will communicate with GP 10. The service is running under Local System.

When i am trying to perform the create operation for GP 10 i am getting the following error.

"The server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password."

Can anyone guide me what i am missing?

Thanks

You cannot use a local system account to run the service. Try using a domain account, which in turn should be an account created on SQL Server. The account should also have access to the GP system and company databases and belong to the DYNGRP database security role.

@Mariano thanks for your response. I resolved that issue using the following steps:

    1. Go to Control Panel – Administrative Tools – Component Services.

    2. Expand Component Services

    3. Expand Computers

    4. Expand My Computer

    5. Expand COM+ Applications

    6. Right click on the eConnect 10 or eConnect 9 objects and select Properties

    7. Go to the Identity Tab, change the account and/or password there.
