Integration Manager db (MDB or IMD) file is growing whenever integration is running.

Hello GP folks,

I hope everybody staying home and healthy !

Currently i am researching on various issues in Integration Manager. Due to large IMD file of IM db i created empty db and imported integrations to new db to reduce the size of db. Though we have 10 number of integrations i was not sure why IMD file has been grown so big so I turned off all logging for integrations(find screenshot below) in new db but whenever i am running integration i am noticing IMD file size is still growing. Since i turned off the logging any idea why my IMD file is still growing when i run integration ? Thanks in advance for your help. Here is the screenshots where logging has been turned off.

    If you go to your Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManger.ini file, do you have anything different from this example:

    [IMBaseProvider]

    AutoUpgradeIntegrations=1

    CommandTimeout=30

    HideMsgBox=True

    UseOptimizedFiltering=True

    ShowRegistration=True

    [IMGPPrv]

    ShowDynamics=False

    DoUIRedraw=False

    AllowOpenWindows=False

    HideMsgBox=True

    [IMGPeConnect]

    SuppressIntegration=False

    HideMsgBox=True

    RequireProxyService=True

    My thoughts are that there is something being added, otherwise we don't usually hear of the IM database exponentially growing each time you run an integration.

    Thanks

    Hi Derek,

    As per your response, i checked ini file and it is reflecting same as the details you mentioned. However based on one of online post i performed 'convert database' operation on IMD file and i noticed file size has been stopped growing when i run the integrations by pointing to the converted IMD file. I am not sure though what convert database does but it resolved my issue. Thanks for your response.

    Ok, so maybe there was some damage to the IMD database that the process fixed. I'm happy to hear the issue has been resolved.

    Thanks for the update.
