Removing Zip Code Validation

Hi,

I have situvation having vendors from Global especially from Asian Counties.

ZIP code validation in Asain counties are really pain. Is there any way I can remove the validation of Zip Code other than US & Canada

Or just create those Zipcode on the fly.

Hello,

What version of AX are you using? What zip code validation add-on have you purchased? Usually these add-ons come with an "on/off" switch somewhere in the AR parameter screen depending on the add-on software.

AX 2009, We don't have any add- on.

We load the country , state, zip, city four US & Canada.

I still need to validate US & canada and NOT to validate any other counties.

To my knowledge there is not any out of the box address validations in AX 2009. You simply enter city / state / zips / countries in the corresponding forms.

Are you talking about "Main table" validation?

Hi,

Let me explain,

I am talking about Main Table, for example trying to create a vendor through AIF having address Mexico, and I have zipcode - 12345 and city XYZ.

While creating this address it validate aganist zipcode and the zipcode 12345 is not there.

So errored out correspnding zipcode not there ......

Basically in main table I need to explicitily say son't validate or create this zipcode on the fly.

Hi,

I think what I did for this case , In basic -> setup up -> address-> Address format

Select Default from the list that belongs to non US countries

In set up tab remove the Zip code and in address country region table set address format to default fro your your country

Please let me know this works.

Even though have the validations turned off.. it still errors that the state is not found in the states table.

Where else do I need to look up in order to disable these validations.

Hi Sailaja,

We can do two workArounds to avoid State validation for Address,

1. Give Address in Street

2. Go to AOT -> Classes -> LogisticsPostalAddressEntity -> Validate

Comment the lines from 47 - 52
