Greetings,
I notice that MR 2012 CU15 or CU16 requires SQL 2012, and Microsoft has changed the minimum requirement of MR Database to SQL 2012 in System Requirement document. But there are still some customers running MR 2012 with SQL 2008 r2.
My company is using MR 2012 CU7 with SQL 2008 R2 (Legacy GP connector). I need to upgrade MR to a newer version so that users may view the reports in reporting currency (Web viewer of CU7 doesn't have the Currency button). Will MR 2012 CU14 work with SQL 2008 R2? If not, what is the latest CU of MR 2012 compatible with SQL 2008 R2?
Please advise,
Thank you,
Wayne
This document that was put together by Derek Krebs, from MSX Group, should answer your questions about MR versions & SQL Server compatibility:
This is from page 3: NOTE: Management Reporter 2012 CU14 will be the last supported release on SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2. Beginning with Management Reporter CU15, SQL Server 2012 will be the minimum supported version of SQL Server.
