Licensing/Pricing Help

Hi All,

Please can anyone help me  understanding D365FO pricing?

We have 150 users and i can see license type ( 130 Operations + 20 Team members) under Security configuration area.

Questions

1. Is 130 operations means full license of £137.70?

2. D365FO has been split into Finance and Supply Chain with minimum seat of 20 each. Does minimum seat means, I have to pay £137.70* 20 = £2754.00 for Finance and £2754.00 for Supply chain?

3. We have warehouse operatives who are using scanner. what license do i have to buy for them?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi YOG,

You can find all details in the licensing guide which can be downloaded here: dynamics.microsoft.com/.../

Can you share what you mean with 'Security configuration area'? Are you looking within Dynamics 365 or on a license summary page?

    1) "Operations" is indeed a full license. In the new situation it would refer to or Finance or SCM or Commerce.

    2) There is a statement about this in the licensing guide:

"Customers may combine Finance, Supply Chain Management, Commerce base USLs and/or device (2.5 device SLs equal 1 base USL) Ls to satisfy the 20-user minimum purchase."

    3) The licensing guide does mention this. Or the users have to be licensed individually or you can go for a device SL. If they already have a license for e.g. SCM, you don't have to acquire device licenses. If these are additional users without access to Dynamics 365, it might be cheaper to go for Device SL if multiple users will share scanning devices.

    Thanks for your reply Andre.

Yes, i am looking License type under 'License summary page'

    1) Understood and noted

    2) Does this mean, I do not need to pay for 40 license. i can have 10 licenses each under same tenant?

    3) Understood and noted

    Hi YOG,

As you mentioned you have 130 operations licenses, I do assume you will fulfill the requirement already. To be honest, not sure if it is 20+20=minimum 40. In the past, I have seen some examples, but can't recall where I had seen it and if it had this exact example..
