Hello,
How do I edit the navigation bar to remove these strange puzzle icons? If I hover over them or click them, they don't show or do anything.
Thanks,
Adil

Thanks for the detailed response! I followed your steps, but the buttons still show on the Global Home/Navigation bar. The puzzle buttons show in 2 of the custom apps, both were imported as managed solutions. Do I need to do something different to update the Global Navigation Bar-Ribbon for these custom apps/managed solutions? The solutions do not show up in Ribbon Workbench 2016 so I can't edit them directly.
EDIT: It looks like it just took a little time to take affect but the buttons are now gone!! thank you
Thank you,
Adil
Hi Adil365,
The Unified Client has a similar looking top bar to the Web Client except it doesn't include the site map since it's moved to the left-hand navigation, which is the Global Command Bar.
What you need is that remove buttons from Global Command Bar, Ribbon Workbench can achieve it.
This is the download page for Ribbon Workbench:
http://www.develop1.net/public/rwb/ribbonworkbench.aspx
This is the basic tutorial of Ribbon Workbench:
https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/develop1/posts/mastering-ribbon-workbench-2016
Here are steps.
1.Create a new solution and add theexisting Application Ribbon (Setting > Solutions).
2.open this solution in Ribbon workbench solution.
3.Load up the new solution in the Ribbon Workbench and locate the Mscrm.GlobalTab group in the Home Command Bar:
Right-click the button you need, select Hide option.
4.Publish.
5.Test.
Before:
When you hover over the icon, you can see its name.
After:
The ‘Import Data’ icon has removed from the bar.

To customize, simply go to Settings > Customizations > Customize the System. You will find multiple sitemaps under Client Extensions, there is typically one which contains all apps, and then others which are each tied to a specific app.
Hi,
Create new solution and go to client extension and add existing application ribbon.
Now open this solution in Ribbon workbench solution to hide those buttons.
