NAV 2017 Error : Source Code must have a value in gen. journal line. Journal Template Name=Sales, Journal Batch Name=DEFAULT, Line No.=2.It cannot be zero or empty.

Hi,

I received the following erorr when I tried to import opening sales invoice to NAV.

"Source Code must have a value in gen. journal line. Journal Template Name=Sales, Journal Batch Name=DEFAULT, Line No.=2.It cannot be zero or empty."

Below is the screenshot of the Excel Template which I populated with 2 rows of data for testing.1856.Capture.PNG

Any idea?

    Check whether you have selected source code on Journal Template.

    on your lines there is one field or more than one on your "source code" are may missing or not match with on your categories

    Search for General Journal Templates, then on that page for SALES make sure you have the source code column has value, if not please select a value usually it will be SALESJNL.

    In General journal templates search for SALES templates and put source code in fields.

    i  had this probleme

    in the general templates, for genéral, i have a source code, so i don't see why i have this message

    i use OPENBAL for opening balance
