Customize Sorting for Pages

Hello,

we like to customize a page and want to change the sorting. I check this out for planning worksheet.
Set key to Type,No.,Variant Code,Location Code,Sales Order No.,Order Date

When reopening the page, the new sorting will not be used.
The screen shows: Worksheet Template Name,Journal Batch Name,Line No.

We are using NAV 2009 R2 Version W1 Build 33172.

It was reported to me, that this error also exist in NAV 2013 and there are several other pages, where it is not possible to change initial sorting.

Do you have similar issues and solved them? Do KB Article exist for this behaviour which I have not found?

Thank you in advance!

Bianca

For developers: check that sourcetableview is set to existimg key, else there are problems to set custom key for sorting... This is what I have found on standard pages...

In the Pages is no key set.

I've checked this changed sorting for the item journal too, there I have the same result. The sorting is not changed if I choose another key.

It seems, that the case will be solved with Build 6.0.35678

What does this mean sorted with Build 6.0.35678?

We would also like to change the default sort order for a table - in our case Vendor Ledger Entry's to be newest on top, how do we do this?

I read that to mean that even though this has been a problem since 2009, Microsoft has not addressed it previously, but WILL finally address it in an updated build of the software.

That's how I read things anyway...

or, you can read Archer's answer to essentially the same question, here: https://community.dynamics.com/nav/f/34/t/149541.aspx
