Rich Text Formatting In Email Templete

Hi Guys 

I got a requirement in email template the user should be able to play with html,css and images the user will be creating coupons. Is there any way we can call rich text formatting in email template?? the user should create coupon inside Crm not outside please help me

    Hi Muhammed,

    For this requirement, in fact, until now it has not been support in MS CRM. If you want to do it. I think you should think about custom solution.

    1. You can create HTML webresource, using rich editor opensource http://ckeditor.com/ or www.webdesignerdepot.com/.../20-excellent-free-rich-text-editors

    2. Then you should implement the custom fucntion to create/or update the body field of Email template.

    Hi Muhammed,

    I mean that you need combining Web resource to implement that. Plugin is just the technology to extend business unit.

    For this requirement, you need to create 1 HTML web resource as Email template Editor.

    Then you need to implement the function to copy all HTML from you Editor to body field of email template entity.

    I will second what Pham has suggested. Also, when you want to attach images in CRM email template, make sure those images are available over the internet. That means those should be accessible through a URL.

    Another option is to develop the html locally, open html page in Internet explorer right click on the page and select all, Copy and paste it in CRM template editor.

    I am beginner still donno mch things of Ms Crm. How to edit email templete body?? i want to replace it with my tinymce

    As I said in my first reply. develop the html locally, open html page in Internet explorer right click on the page and select all, open email template and copy and paste the content in the editor.

    thank you for your response but this does not meet my requirement.  The user should be able to edit html and css inside the body of email templete in Ms CRM  thats why i want to replace the body feid with tinymce

    You cannot replace that editor, you will have to go with the option of a html webresource where you can use your editor and update email templates in CRM using oData calls.
