Container to VarBinary Conversion

I have to load Synthetic data in DynamicsAX SQL DB directly. My Salesline table has container type field. How should I convert container type to VarBinary and insert directly in SQL DB using insert scripts?

The right solution is not writing directly to AX database at all. You would have to deal with RecIds, table inheritance etc., you would bypass all business logic (which would easily lead to data corruption) and security, caches wouldn't get invalidated, Microsoft would stop supporting your AX instance and so on and so on.

Loading data directly to database surely isn't the business requirement of your customer. It's the way how somebody decided to implement the requirement and this decision should be revised.

Save the time you're currently spending with problems caused by using the wrong approach and invest it to the right solution. You need AOS to process the application logic and that can be easily done with AIF. Either use the existing document service for sales orders, or create a new service (document | custom) for your specific purpose.

    Yes Martin,

You're right about the risks but we have to load a huge amount of data(approx 1000 million) in very little time. We considered doing this by DMF before, but because of less insertion rate we approached inserting directly to SQL DB using SQL scripts.
