on prem Production environment without UAT

hi,

Can we have a production environment without UAT in on prem D365 FFO?

My client have budget limitation. They only want to setup one environment that will be produciton.

Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi，

    UAT is used by Business users and functional team members to validate application functionality. You will not like the experience of testing in the production environment.

    We do not recommend that, you may consider it at your own risk.

    Technically nobody will come to your premises to see if you have UAT environment in place or not. :)

    You can survive with Prod only.  But it is not a great option. It's because few things are not supported in on-prem environment. That means if you think to survive with installation of prod only, and pass your UAT on a cloud Box or local VHD, the users might feel difference and they can come up with questions like.

    “I was able to view reports on screen during UAT, but why I cannot see reports on screen in Prod”

    And then the consultant will answer “It is because during UAT we did not used real installation and we completed UAT on a different version”.

    By saying different version I mean an instance deployed in cloud or a local VHD. Unfortunately there is no equivalent experience available for on-prem without full investment and installation. I have spoken about this previously.
