Hi,

Good afternoon everyone.

I am completely new to Navision and I have a doubt.

I am trying to develop an approval workflow where there is: A first approver, a user group of approvers, and a third approver.

I am developing this workflow using the out of the box general journal line workflow.

Requirement is like: First approver will approve it, then one of the approvers in the group approves it and it goes to the third approver.

How can I implement this??

Please help.

Hi,

Create a workflow user group,

First app : Sequence 1

group of Approvers : Sequence 2

Third approvers : Sequence 3

You can use the group approval for this scenario.

Set the first approver as 1 in sequence.

Set the group of approver as 2 in sequence (all the users).

Set the third approver as 3 in sequence.

Hi, the requirement is like if one of the approvers in the group approves it, it goes to the third approver. If we give the sequence no as 2 for the group, all the members in the group should approve it to go to the third approver which is not what I want.

You need to play with conditions to check if sequence is 2 & pending approval the approve all in sequence and send to 3rd.

Hi Manish,

When I checked, there is no option to approve all in sequence. Looks like customizing the workflow is the only option..

Hi

In standard NAV its always create 4 line for approval and each user need to approve . As per your requirement its cant be achieve with standard functionality. You need to customized the code then only can be done .

Hi,

i've been trying to setup a workflow with 3 users with sequence 1 and one user with sequence 2.

The requirement is that all 3 users with sequence 1 have to approve before the approval request is sent to the user with sequence 2.

Does anyone know how to do this?
