Hi,

I am using AX 2012 R2 CU7. I am running into the below issue.

There was a mistake in the account selected and I have posted a Transactions below:

-- Fixed Asset ::: Disposal-Sales - Posted this using Journals.

I have to reverse this transactions in the system.

Is there a way out to reverse the above transaction OR Is there any other way out to correct the above issue???

Would highly appreciate for quick response as stuck up in this issue and not getting any help for fix this issue.

This was fixed by manually adjusting by making reverse entries.

Hi Muneeb,

As I told in my first reply the reversal is possible when there is only one subledger. So or Assets and a ledger account or Customer and a ledger account. In this case there is an asset and customer involved in the voucher. In that case the reversal option is not supported. I have never looked into customizing this. So I can't help you with the technical details.

Possibly you can do some additional ledger transactions by using a general journal to correct the entries? I assume you only have to make corrections on ledger accounts which are not strictly tied to assets?

I have done few changes, and now I am running into the below issue:

1. I am able to delete the Journal with one Voucher entry. And I have even verified the entries are reversed in AX.

2. However, for the Journal which has multiple vouchers, I am getting the below error. All the vouchers of the Journal have the same number. Kindly find the below snapshot for the same.

Have anyone ever faced this issue.

Is there any solution for this issue? Would highly appreciate for help.

Hi Andre,

Thank you for your quick response.

Firstly,

Scenario: We wanted to transfer Asset from 1 company to another company (internal sister company) and we need to put it by Zero Value (Net Book Value).

But by mistake the user put the Total Acquisition cost. So the ledger account gain & loss and Fixed Asset Disposition accounts did NOT capture the correct values.

Kindly find the details of the Posting Profile and Values after Posting the Journal as below:

Secondly,

I was thinking like when we are passing value from Free Text Invoice and from Journals, the "Reverse Transaction" button is disabled when the values are passed through Journals and it is enables when the values are passed using Free Text Invoice if we can look at the Transactions form of that particular Customer.

Currently, I am even looking into if somehow we can twist and enable this button in the code which would eventually allow us to reverse.

Note: Not sure what is going to be the impact of this modification inside the code. The code seems to be deep so have to look deeper if it can be achieved. (Below Image for your reference)

Would appreciate if you can give your opinion in both the above points and help me resolve the issue by reversing it somehow.

Hi Muneeb,

Transaction reversal is supported for some transaction type like depreciation. A disposal - sale is not supported as it affects multiple sub-ledgers. What exact account was wrong?
