Calculated Fields on Quick Create Forms

Our standard product form utilizes several calculated forms to deliver the correct price based on data entered. However now I'm trying to create a custom quick create form for products so that we can add new products from the quote product page and I've realized that you apparently can't use calculated fields on quick create forms.

Is there any way to get calculated fields to work on a quick create form or possibly another work around to accomplish this goal?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

You cannot add calculated field in quick create forms, you can use JS instead.

RE: Calculated Fields on Quick Create Forms

    Hi Nathan,

Unfortunately, this is impossible, this is by design. You can use Javascript to achieve the same effect.

The trigger of calculated field is when the form is saved. Quickly create form is only to create a record and can't view the record.

So the calculated field cannot be added to the quick create form.

Also, quick create form does not support business rules.

In summary, only Javascript is feasible.

Please refer to this blog to know how to add Javascript to the fields of the form: https://www.c5insight.com/Resources/Blog/tabid/148/entryid/95/how-to-use-javascript-on-dynamics-crm-201120132015-form.aspx

You need to set the OnChange event on the fields which the data is entered to calculate the price.
