Hi all,
I have read about different types of discounts in the Retail module. I would like to ask if these discounts can be applied to traditional sales budget. We require adding new offers for customers. Is it possible to use the discounts of the Retail module in the normal creation of sales budgets?
The scenario that we must achieve is the following.
If the sales budget contains three different items (from a specific group), the customer gets a 2% discount on each item.
If the sales budget contains five different items (from a specific group), the customer gets a 4% discount on each item.
We want to handle these conditions using some feature of the system.
We are using AX 2012 R3 CU 10
Good Luck. Please let me know if you need any help in designing the solution.
Thank you very much Juanid,
I stay tuned if someone can help me, in the meantime I will consult with my colleagues to evaluate a possible development
Hi Maximiliano Martinez
In D365 you can define sales budget on Item and Item group level but we cannot define any business rules like as you mentioned "3 different products to specific group" and customer would get 2 % discount and I don't think we have any capability that actually check and validate at POS if item is belongs to x sales budget group then apply 2 % discount.
I believe it requites customization in back office to create a custom screen where we can define business rules.
Thank you very much Todd,

Hi Maxi,
I have not heard of anyone using the retail discounts for sales budgets.
It may be possible that this could be customized; and I will leave this for the community to discuss.
