In smartlist>financial> Accounts transaction what is the column that will show the date appearing in the GL of that specific transaction.

Hi,
I looked at the date fields in the GL20000 and here's what I found.
TRXDATE = the 'Posting Date' in the subledger. Whenever you see Posting, with an 'ing', it means GL journal entry date.
LSTDTEDT = the last time the journal entry was edited. This has nothing to do with the last time the subledger entry was edited.
ORPSTDDT = the computer's system date on the day the payables transaction was actually posted.
DOCDATE = I was expecting this to be the document date of the payables transaction, but it was not. The DOCDATE for all of my GL transactions remain at the default of 01-01-1900.
It appears that the Document date of the subledger transaction is not recorded in the general ledger.
Kind regards,
leslie
Here is a link that will shed some light, from the description though 'originating' it is the date when the transaction was actually posted from the subledger

Hope this helps

Thank you dear Manjunath. In smartlist sales>transaction there is a document date column and GL posting date column. Which one is the date which appears in GL from these two dates.
Originating Posted date will be the date when GL entry is posted. Once you post the GL entry, you can find this under GL20000 table.
Hope this helps.
Thank you Rosemary. Then what is the originating posted date. I mean what does this date mean?
Hi Rashid,
Trx Date is the date I use for reconciliations.
Regards,
Rosemary
