Hi,
I operate in a B2B organisation with a number of customers paying via a Purchase Order process. Is there a way in D365 to record the Customer’s PO details so that I can build validation that will prevent the Sales Order from progressing if it doesn’t match the PO received from the customer?
Hi AG Scot,
Can you elaborate on the exact desired process? For a customer you record sales orders, not purchase orders. So, I'm confused what you are asking here.
Thank you for your reply. The customer purchases from us via their Procurement Process where a PO is created and sent to us. We raise a Sales Order and when we invoice the customer matches the Invoice to their PO. If the invoice doesn’t match the PO it results in delayed payment.
As we receive the PO I would like to systemise the matching of the PO to our SO prior to issuing the invoice. This would match things like account number, value etc
Thanks for the clarification. If you are able to receive the PO in a digital format, you would be able to import the details. In that case, the details should match. Are you currently typing in the SO details manually?
