Marketing Form does not create a lead

Hello, everyone.

I have a form that updates contacts and leads. I have created my own lead matching strategy for this so that a lead is created with every submission. It is a contact form, so every contact should be a lead. Unfortunately, it doesn't work out the way I would like it to.

Here is a screenshot of the lead matching strategy. You can see I added describtion and an own field named Topic (single line of text)

The following error appears in the Submission form: "Activity id: c22573c9-1b50-4d18-becf-3c4c013ded58, Request id: eaa0gBq2Dyw5O-XcT25yKknxAWPY1sZe4KPR90AVShQ_0, Exception: This record cannot be created. The email address belongs already to a contact"

So the lead was not created like it should.

What is going on there?

Did I missunderstood the cration of Leads in Dynamics365 or is there anything else wrong?

    Hi Ferdinand,

    Do you mean that the error is no longer existing?

    Since I cannot reproduce your issue, it is recommended to raise a support ticket to MS to know which update it specifically relates to.

    Hi Nya,

    In my form there was "Update Leads and Contacts" and also I used the Contact Matching Strategy. After I updated MS Dynamics to the newest Version it worked. Idk what the Problem was there.

    Would you please share these options of your marketing form?

    According to the message, it is due to the inability to create contacts with duplicate email addresses.

    Or have you set any duplicate detection or alternate key for the email address field of Contact entity?
