Post Transaction Through General Ledger Files

Hello everyone,

I'm working with GP2013R2 and we need to post transactions from modules through GL. I think this was an improvement of GP newer versions. 

I have both checkbox marked, plus the check 'allow transaction posting' and my transactions still are saved in the financial module to be posted, although the batches post directly.

Could anyone help me? Thanks!

    Valeria,

    Transaction level posting never posts through - it only posts to.  If you want to ensure posting through - you would need to unmark allow transaction posting.

    Hope the Period is opened from Fiscal Period setup.

    (Tools on the Microsoft Dynamics GP menu, point to Setup, point to Company, and then click Fiscal Periods.)

    Hi Anvar, fiscal periods are open. My question refers to individual transaction posting, from modules directly in General Ledger. If I try to post a transaction without batch, with my actual configuration, the transaction stucks in work status, in the financial module and I have to post it in financial module, too.

    Post Through General Ledger Files   You also can choose whether General Ledger accounts will be updated automatically when you post from another module to General Ledger. If you mark the Post Through General Ledger Files option, batches posted in other modules automatically will update the module in which the transactions originated and the appropriate posting accounts in General Ledger. Your transactions will post to General Ledger and not through General Ledger when posting transaction individually (without a batch).
