Consolidation in MR

Posted on by 105

Hi,

I am trying to consolidate diff companies based in account and one financial dimension. I have 2 questions:

1. When I run the report which companies should be used: @Any or it doesn't matter

2. The error log I am receiving is

The operation could not be completed due to a problem in the data provider framework. Action: http://schemas.microsoft.com/dynamics/performance/reporting/2010/01/directlink/IDirectLinkService/SubmitRequestServiceFaultFault Fault code: Sender IsSenderFault: True IsReceiverFault: False Reason: The operation could not be completed due to a problem in the data provider framework

What does this message mean?

Thank you for your support

    Hello Kacper,

Can you clarify that a bit?

What I understand is that one legal entity has periods that follow the calendar year, such as January 2019 (1st-31st), February 2019 (1st-28th), etc.

And then you have another entity that uses different periods.

    Is that right?

Can you share how the periods of the other entity look like and when their periods begin and end?

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

First of all I would like to thank you for time I received from you. I have last question. My problem is that one of our comnpany is using diff fiscal calender. For one company 2019/05/31 is the last day of period five but for another one period five ends 2019/05/24.

What is the option in that case?

This issue is related to your other thread that you posted before.

Can you try removing the R&D department and run the report again to see whether you still receive the error message?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I hope you are fine. Where in MR you are seting up functional currency?

    1. This is my setup

    2. Column defintion. Marked column contain even dimesnion under Reporting unit - this is because of "&" sign, I am not able to add department to dimension filter.

    Hello Kacper,

For 1: @Any should be ok if you specify the companies that should be consolidated e.g. in the column definition. This can be achieved either by making use of a company findim or by referring to the different companies in a reporting tree that is linked to your column definition.

For 2: Have you already tried what is described and discussed in this thread: community.dynamics.com/.../40083

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
