Hi,
I have been testing out NAV extension (in NAV2017) and it seems to be working pretty well so far.
I'm currently testing the scenario of how extension can be deployed to customer environment, and have encountered an error when Installing the extension.
My test extension adds a field on one of the core tables in NAV (Purch. Rcpt. Header), and when I install the extension, it errors our saying that I don't have permission to Modify the TableData. And in order to avoid this issue, I have to temporarily install the developer NAV license, and re-install customer license after extension is installed.
Are there any steps I'm missing during the extension installation process? Or is it mandatory that I always use developer NAV license during extension installation (at least when core Table is modified)?
Thank you.

Great. I will try this later.
Thank you!
No also point 2 works... extensions 1.0 supports this.
Stefano,
Thanks for your feedback.
For NAV2017 only #1 would work, correct?
There are 2 way of deploying Extensions to Customer environments:
1) using developer license
2) using runtime packages: blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../nav-development-preview-november-update
Runtime packages can be deployed without using development license.
Point 1 is better for debugging.
Unfortunately I have never heard back, and I'm still waiting for anyone's feedback.
Hi, i've the same problem, can you have solved?
thanks
