Ok So as of 15 June 2017 we supposedly have the final release (Phase 2) for India GST - but does ANYONE know how to set this up? We have been following the White Paper and whatever else we can find but we still cannot get the GST to work. Is there a setup paper somewhere? Please (we are working with web client so it has only been by accident this week that I found a blog site that had list of the "new" GST menu items (ie from RTC). Seems we re on the right track but it still feels like something is missing ....

    Hi,

CBEC has initiated process of migration of all existing central excise and service tax assesses from 10th Jan 2017 and try to complete the migration latest by Jan 31, 2017.

Things are progressing at rapid speed from GOI. Hence, MS should come out with a quick action plan on GST for NAV.

    Regards,

    Ravi

    Hello Chaminda,

GST release will be for versions supported at that time: as per today it is, NAV 2013, NAV 2013R2, NAV 2016 .

It will be released around 4 weeks before the GST implementation by Govt of India.

This is what we heard from Microsoft.

Will update on community if I will get any more information from Microsoft about GST.

    Regards,

Still Indian government is deciding the GST structure and hopefully between April 2017 and September 2017 they will implement GST across country ,Once they finalize everything then only partners can start developing the GST features in NAV or other software.

Till the time we have to wait.

Is there any official newsletter from Microsoft on this. Also suggest whether hiring  tax consultants (EY / KPMG)for implementing GST is must kind off. Internal Technical and function teams can handle the GST implementation or not ?
