Identifying the Directory

(1) ShareShare

Posted on by 2
A co-worker and I have inherited responsibility for the Dynamics CRM. This is not something we are familiar with so the learning curve is a steep. We have two pressing problems that both relate to the same thing - where to find the actual directory.  We know the files are stored on Sharepoint but haven't been able to locate a full directory.

We need to identify one file and update the permissions for it.

We need to identify a second file in order to finalize a Smartsheet Shuttle process.

Could anyone point us in the right direction?

    Hi,

Do you mean that after integrating Dynamics CRM with Sharepoint, you upload a file, but the file path is not displayed or the file cannot be found according to the file path?

    Best Regards,
    Dengliang Li

    Hi Dengliang,

Thank you for your response! We are not having an issue with the file path, as we can see the folder locations like the ones below from SharePoint and CRM.
For example, we have these campaigns that pull up on CRM with its own unique identifiers.

But we don't know where these files are housed. Can you tell just by looking at these codes where we can locate them? We are unable to find these identifiers on SharePoint. This is just one example of master files we are looking for but unable to find.

    Hi,

Do you mean that the campaign table is also integrated with SharePoint, but you can't find the file uploaded from that table record in SharePoint?

If so, then you need to find the Campain Document Library under Site contents in SharePoint and go to it to see the uploaded files.

Thank you for your response. What you have laid out is exactly what I had expected it to be. There are several files that we are confident exist  on SharePoint. Unfortunately, we can't access the main directory.   I go to Site Contents via Settings.

That opens up these options. I don't feel like we're gaining access to everything that we should. All of these files are associated with items specifically associated with the SharePoint side of things (an internal website, etc...) It seems like we are not being able to access the admin level of the directory. Anna has IT director privileges and I have admin privileges.

    We really appreciate your assistance.
