Dynamics SL 2015 with AWS RDS SQL

We are considering moving to AWS RDS managed SQL offering. Does anyone have experience using this with Dynamics SL 2015 or other version? Is there documentation available on the configuration / setups? Would we have to install the application on an AWS server as well? What was your experience with the cost of this setup as compared to in-house (I'm not sure how they charge for SQL at this point).

Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Andy,

This is Amazon's cloud offering of SQL Server. Not sure if this is similar to Azure SQL (Microsoft's offering). We don't support Azure SQL. Apparently, its feature set is a not the same as SQL Server on premise. As far as the Azure cloud, only SQL installed on a Windows server in the cloud is supported.
